How will Roy Keane do as a number two?‏

You either love or loathe him, there's no denying that Roy Keane will always get a reaction, be it good or bad.
The worst kept secret in International football is Martin O'Neill is taking over as boss of the Republic of Ireland with the former Manchester United midfield terrier as his number two.

Will the two be able to work in tandem; it's an untested partnership that may or may not work but worth at least giving a try.

Ireland set to break bank to secure O’Neill and Keane

Ireland, Keane, O'Neill

MARTIN O’NEILL is expected to be confirmed as the new Republic of Ireland manager early this week – with Roy Keane as his assistant.

Former Celtic and Aston Villa manager O’Neill will cost the Football Association of Ireland at least £1m a year in wages, while Keane will command around £593,000.

O’Neill is also reportedly set to earn an €800,000 bonus if he takes the Republic to the Euro 2016 finals.

Martin O'Neill brings bags of experience since starting off as manager of Wycombe Wanderers. He is liked throughout the football world.

International football is all together different from the domestic game; only seeing players every few weeks instead of everyday.

O'Neill is quiet and Keane, well, he'll speak his mind. Indeed he was sent home from the World Cup for doing so but now he's in charge it's of course different.

Keeping Robbie Keane on as Captain and the record goalscorer has to be at the top of the list. At thirty three he looks as hungry as ever for goals and can play a vital part in trying to get the Boys in Green to the Euro finals in two thousand and sixteen.
